This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Localized critical fire weather conditions are possible for portions
of west-central and southwest Colorado this afternoon. Isolated
storms are possible in the mountains this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Scattered to widespread showers and storms are expected tomorrow and
Friday. Significant moisture supports the potential for heavy rain
during this period. Conditions dry out for this weekend, but there is
still a slight chance for afternoon storms.

WEDNESDAY EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS, LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND DRY
FUELS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 203, 207, 290, AND 292...

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry
fuels, which is in effect from Wednesday morning through
Wednesday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 203 Lower
  Colorado River, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower
  Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 290 Paradox Valley Forecast
  Area and Fire Weather Zone 292 North Fork Forecast Area.

* WINDS...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...8 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...Conditions may become favorable for the easy
  ignition and rapid spread of fires due to low relative
  humidity and strong gusty winds.
