This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Very hot temperatures are expected for all of the region this
afternoon, and especially for the lower Arkansas River Valley from
Canon City to the Kansas border where temperatures will likely
reach between 100 and 105 degrees. Be sure to drink plenty of
water and avoid strenuous outdoor activities!

Isolated high based thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon
and evening, mainly over El Paso County and the far eastern
plains. A few severe storms will also be possible over the far
eastern plains later this evening, with the highest probability
of occurrence over Kiowa County. Main threat with thunderstorms
will be gusty outflow winds approaching 60 mph, and with the
stronger storms over the far eastern plains, wind gusts may reach
70 mph with hail up to the size of quarters, as well as dangerous
lightning and brief heavy rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Severe thunderstorms will be possible across all of the plains
tomorrow.

The primary threat tomorrow will be strong winds of 65 to 75 mph.
Hail the size of golf balls will also be possible. the tornado
threat will be low tomorrow.

For Saturday, a few thunderstorms will be possible over the
region, with gusty winds and small hail possible.

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region, especially across the
greater Kiowa county region.
