This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

One or two severe storms will be possible in far southeast Colorado
late this afternoon and early evening, especially in the greater
Baca county region. Wind gusts to 60 to 70 mph, hail the size of
quarters and one or two landspout tornadoes will be possible.

Later tonight, isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible
throughout the night over the southeast Colorado plains, especially
areas east of a line from La junta to Kim. The main concern will be
localized heavy rain, small hail and gusty winds to 40 mph will be
possible.

Red Flag conditions are expected across the San luis Valley today
due to the heat, gusty winds, dry fuels and very low humidity
values. Do not burn today or do any activity which could cause a
spark.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Thunderstorms are expected over the mountains every day during the
long term forecast period, with lightning a risk everyday, but the
highest impacts will be Thusday and Friday where heavy rainfall and
the potential for flash flooding exists. Hot temperatures return
early next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
