This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will develop over
the mountains by late morning and spread eastward across the plains
during the afternoon and evening. A moist unstable atmosphere will
bring the possibility of hail up to around 1 inch in diameter, wind
gusts to near 60 mph, and with locally heavy rain with any stronger
storms across southern Colorado. Flash flooding will be possible for
burn scars and areas with susceptible soils today should they be
directly impacted. The best chance for a severe thunderstorm will be
across the far eastern plains of Kiowa, Bent, Prowers and Baca
counties where hail up to 1.25 inches in diameter and damaging gusts
in excess of 60 mph will be possible.

Thunderstorms will diminish during the evening with isolated showers
continuing along the Continental Divide into the overnight hours.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected
each afternoon Friday through Wednesday, with the greatest hazards
being gusty winds, small hail, and lightning with any more organized
thunderstorms. Some storms Sunday may be strong to severe, with
severe wind gusts and large hail possible.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
