Readings in these areas will climb to between 95 and 105, well above seasonal averages and close to record highs. Isolated high based showers and thunderstorms will be possible over and near the mountains today. The main risk from thunderstorms will be localized gusty winds up to 50 mph and lightning, but little to no rainfall. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday Isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected each afternoon Wednesday through Monday, with the greatest hazards being gusty winds, small hail, and lightning with any more organized thunderstorms. Some storms Wednesday may be strong to severe across the eastern plains, with severe wind gusts and large hail possible. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued the following... WHAT...Air Quality Health Advisory for Wildfire Smoke. WHERE...Pueblo County. Locations include, but are not limited to Beulah. WHEN...200 PM Tuesday June 25 to 900 AM Wednesday June 26 IMPACTS...The Oak Ridge Fire is burning approximately 3 miles northwest of Beulah in Pueblo County. Dry thunderstorms are possible through Tuesday evening, with gusty, erratic winds that could send smoke in any direction. Smoke may become heavy overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning, especially along Middle Creek which could result in moderate to heavy smoke in Beulah. HEALTH INFORMATION...Public Health Recommendations: If smoke is thick or becomes thick in your neighborhood you may want to remain indoors. This is especially true for those with heart disease, respiratory illnesses, the very young, and older adults. Consider limiting outdoor activity when moderate to heavy smoke is present. Consider relocating temporarily if smoke is present indoors and is making you ill. If visibility is less than 5 miles in smoke in your neighborhood, smoke has reached levels that are unhealthy. $$
