This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

One or two marginally severe storms will be possible today along the
Colorado and New Mexico border. Storms will from over the southern
Sangre De Cristo mountains early this afternoon and push east along
the New Mexico border this afternoon and early evening. Hail up to
the size of quarters and wind gusts to 60 mph will be possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Daily chances of showers and thunderstorms can be expected across
south central and southeast Colorado through the weekend, with the
best coverage of storms along and west of the Continental Divide
Thursday and Friday. Increased available moisture Thursday and Friday
will support the potential for a few stronger storms producing hail
to near 1 inch in diameter and gusty outflow winds, along with the
potential for locally heavy rainfall and flash flooding, mainly over
area burn scars.

Much warmer and drier conditions are in offing for early next week,
with temperatures warming back to well above seasonal levels in
the mid 90s to around 105 degrees across the plains, and mainly in
the 70s and 80s across the higher terrain.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
