This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

A heat advisory remains in place for El Paso, Pueblo and eastern
Fremont counties until 6 pm today, as temperatures will top out
well above seasonal levels in the mid 90s to around 103 degrees.
Vulnerable populations should take extra precautions today, along
with anyone who has to spend extra time outdoors. Try to limit
time in the sun and remain hydrated.

Isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are also
expected across the area this afternoon and evening, with the best
coverage over and near the higher terrain. Storms will be higher
based, with the main storm threats being gusty outflow winds up to
55 mph, small hail and lightning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Isolated high based thunderstorms will be possible on Tuesday which
could produce gusty outflow winds up to 50 mph and lightning.
Otherwise it will be hot with temperatures topping out between 95
and 105 across portions of the plains. A Heat Advisory is in
effect for El Paso, Pueblo and Eastern Fremont counties for
Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Thunderstorm chances increase for Wednesday through Friday. The
main risk with thunderstorms will be heavy rainfall capable of
producing localized flash flooding on burn scars. However one or
two strong to marginally severe thunderstorms will be possible with
small hail and wind gusts close to 60 mph possible.

A cold front will bring cooler temperatures to the southeast plains
for Saturday and Sunday and a possible uptick in thunderstorm chances
for the southeast mountains and adjacent plains both days. Heavy
rainfall, small hail and gusty outflow winds will be the primary
storm risks.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
