Isolated showers or thunderstorms are expected late in the day which will produce strong, gusty outflow winds up to 50 mph. One or two strong to severe storms will be possible with damaging winds up to 65 mph and large hail, with the greatest risk just east of the I-25 Corridor. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Scattered to numerous showers and storms are possible by Friday. Storms may become severe east of the I-25 corridor Friday afternoon producing hail, wind gusts up to 60 mph, and heavy rainfall. Localized flooding could occur and there is a minor risk of flooding across the Cameron Peak burn area through Friday evening. Hot and dry weather will return to the forecast area this weekend with temperatures climbing back above 90 across the urban corridor and plains. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... WHERE...Douglas, Jefferson, Denver, western Arapahoe, western Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer, and Weld Counties WHEN...400 PM Thursday June 13 to 1200 AM Friday June 14 IMPACTS...Ozone Action Day Alert is now in effect for the Front Range Urban Corridor. Request to limit driving gas and diesel- powered vehicles is now in effect until midnight Thursday night (12 AM Friday, June 14, 2024). Ozone concentrations remain high on Thursday afternoon in the southwestern and western portions of the Denver Metro area, including locations in the foothills. Increasing clouds and afternoon storms are expected to keep ozone concentrations in the Good to Moderate range on Friday. For areas included in this advisory that are not expected to reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) air quality designation, we request that activities, such as driving non- ZEV vehicles (i.e., gas or diesel), be reduced to lessen the impacts on neighboring air quality.
