This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated thunderstorms are expected mainly west and south of
Denver in the late afternoon and early evening hours. Most of the
storms will produce brief rain, but the strongest storms could
produce heavy rain, hail up to an inch in diameter, and wind gusts
to 60 mph. The threat of this is greatest on the plains south of
Castle Rock and Limon between 4 PM and 8 PM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Above normal temperatures are likely Wednesday and Thursday followed
by isolated chances of a shower or storm mainly for the foothills
and mountains. Expect afternoon high temperatures of 90 to 98
degrees mainly across the urban corridor and plains. Slightly
cooler temperatures and scattered storms are possible by Friday.
Coverage for thunderstorms decreases this weekend becoming
isolated along the high country each afternoon.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.

410 PM MDT Mon Jun 10 2024

...OZONE ACTION DAY ALERT FROM 400 PM MONDAY UNTIL 400 PM
TUESDAY...

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has
issued the following...

WHAT...Ozone Action Day Alert.

WHERE...Douglas, Jefferson, Denver, western Arapahoe, western
Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer, and Weld Counties

WHEN...400 PM Monday June 10 to 400 PM Tuesday June 11

IMPACTS...Ozone Action Day Alert is now in effect for the Front
Range Urban Corridor. Request to limit driving gas and diesel-
powered vehicles is now in effect until at least 4 p.m. Tuesday,
June 11, 2024. Although ozone concentrations will remain in the
Good to Moderate range on Monday, increasingly warm and sunny
conditions with building pollution levels will result in ozone
concentrations possibly reaching the Unhealthy for Sensitive
Groups category Tuesday afternoon and evening, particularly from
the western suburbs of Denver northward to Boulder. For areas
included in this advisory that are not expected to reach the
Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) air quality designation, we
request that activities, such as driving non-ZEV vehicles (i.e.,
gas or diesel), be reduced to lessen the impacts on neighboring
air quality. Additional air pollution in this region may directly
worsen air quality or contribute to precursors which may also
adversely affect air quality. For Colorado air quality
conditions, forecasts and advisories, visit:

HEALTH INFORMATION...Increasing likelihood of respiratory symptoms
and breathing discomfort in active children and adults and people
with lung disease, such as asthma. Active children and adults, and
people with lung disease, such as asthma, should reduce prolonged
or heavy outdoor exertion.
