Some storms may be severe with large hail and strong winds. Heavy rainfall will also accompany the stronger storms. Areas prone to flashing flooding, like burn areas, will see an increased risk today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday Scattered to numerous thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening will be strong at times, with a few severe storms possible in the plains late Thursday with hail and wind the primary threats. Storm coverage and intensity are expected to decrease on Friday due to less available moisture. However, there still will be a threat for locally heavy rainfall across the forecast area along with one or two strong to severe storms possible across the far northeastern plains. Saturday should be drier with the threat for locally heavy rainfall returning on Sunday with a couple of strong to severe storms possible further east across the plains.
