Scattered lightning storms will be possible this afternoon and into the evening. Heavy rainfall will continue to be the primary hazard, with 1-3 inches of rainfall possible with any slow moving or repeated rounds of showers and storms. Other storm hazards will be occasional to frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes, and gusty winds of 40 to 45 mph. .EXCESSIVE RAINFALL IMPACT... Heavy rainfall of 1 to 3 inches will be possible with any slower moving or training showers and storms today. .RIP CURRENT AND SURF IMPACT... There is a Moderate Risk of dangerous rip currents at all central Florida Atlantic beaches today. Always swim near a lifeguard, and never swim alone. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. High storm chances are expected to continue through early weekend, as deep moisture remains across much of central Florida. Storms may produce gusty winds, occasional to frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Heavy rainfall with some of the storms Saturday may produce localized flooding of poor drainage and low- lying areas. Scattered lightning storms are forecast through mid week with the east coast sea breeze and stout onshore flow.
