This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters,
southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of
Mexico.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Thunderstorms: Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will develop in
the afternoon hours into the early evening particularly over the
Interior and east coast. Storms may contain periods of heavy rain,
gusty winds and frequent lightning.

Excessive Heat: Peak indices of 104 to 108 degrees are likely for
most of South Florida today while a few areas could approach 110
degrees.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue to be possible each day,
with the greatest coverage expected each afternoon over the interior.

Temperatures will remain hot through the weekend and into next week.
Heat advisories may be necessary in the coming days for portions of
the area.

Weather spotters are encouraged to report high wind, hail, and
flooding to the National Weather Service forecast office in Miami.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Florida, including the following
  county, Collier.

* WHEN...Until 930 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 737 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Naples, Golden Gate Estates, Vineyards, Golden Gate, North
    Naples and Pelican Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
