This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters,
southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of
Mexico.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Thunderstorms: Scattered thunderstorms are expected today,
especially during the afternoon and early evening hours. Slow moving
storms may result in localized flooding in urban and poor drainage
locations.

Waterspouts: A few waterspouts are possible across the local waters
this afternoon.

Heat: Peak heat indices will range between 100 and 105 across most
areas this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible each day. The strongest
storms could produce gusty winds and heavy downpours. Slow storm
motions could also result in localized flooding.

Heat indices over 100 degrees will be possible each day, with values
up to 110 possible late in the week.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following
  county, Miami-Dade.

* WHEN...Until 500 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 335 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Miami, North Miami, Miami Shores, El Portal, Pinewood, Little
    Haiti, Golden Glades, West Little River, Westview, Gladeview,
    Bay Harbor Islands and Biscayne Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.
Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
