Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms this morning will increase in coverage throughout the day with showers becoming widespread and thunderstorms becoming scattered. The primary hazards will be lightning strikes and gusty winds. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible, so a Flood Watch is in effect for the Florida Keys through this afternoon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected through Wednesday. The primary hazards will be lightning strikes and locally gusty winds. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible through Friday night. Small Craft Advisories may be required for portions of the Florida Keys coastal waters Monday through Wednesday due to freshening easterly breezes. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Through 900 pm, clusters of surging squalls and thunderstorms will continue to press northeast at 20 knots through the coastal waters of the Florida Keys. The strongest storms will be capable of localized wind gusts near 35 knots, blinding downpours, and brief bouts of lightning. Aside from Ocean Reef through the short term, most of the island chain will remain rain-free. $$ CLR
