Scattered thunderstorms will be possible today and tonight. The primary hazards will be lightning strikes and gusty winds. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible, so a Flood Watch is in effect for the Florida Keys tonight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected from Friday through Wednesday. The primary hazards will be lightning strikes and locally gusty winds. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible through Friday night. Small Craft Advisories may be required for portions of the Florida Keys coastal waters Monday through Wednesday due to freshening easterly breezes. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Through midnight, a cluster of showers and thunderstorms will track northeastward at around 25 mph, through the Upper Keys and surrounding nearshore waters. This activity will produce wind gusts of 35 mph, blinding downpours, and occasional lightning strikes. This activity is on the leading edge of a band of rain with embedded showers a few thunderstorms stretching along the island chain and out into the distant Florida Straits off of Rebecca Shoal. Any island location may receive an additional one quarter to three quarters of an inch of rain. $$

Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
