This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters,
southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of
Mexico.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Excessive Rainfall: With multiple rounds of heavy rainfall possible,
the potential for flash flooding will exist especially across the
urban and poor drainage areas. The rainfall will be particularly
problematic for urban and recently soaked regions.

Thunderstorms: Numerous thunderstorms are expected over South
Florida today. Some of the thunderstorms could contain gusty winds
and heavy downpours.

There will be a moderate risk of rip currents for the Collier county
beaches.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Enhanced tropical moisture will be in place over South Florida
through at least Friday, resulting in periods of heavy rain and a
flooding threat. See Flood Watch for the latest details.

* Until 530 PM EDT.

* At 356 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located near Surfside, moving east at 10 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

  Hallandale, Biscayne Bay, Lighthouse Point, Jupiter Inlet Colony,

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.

Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Broward County in southeastern Florida...
  Northern Miami-Dade County in southeastern Florida...

* Until 530 PM EDT.

* At 339 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain in Hallandale Beach, Aventura,
  Hollywood, Dania Beach. Between 6 and 9 inches of rain have
  fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 3 to 7 inches are possible
  in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Hallandale Beach, Aventura,
  Hollywood, Dania Beach. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS
  SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following
  counties, Broward and Miami-Dade.

* WHEN...Until 830 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 309 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Miami, Hialeah, Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood,

  Miami-Dade County, Inland Palm Beach County, Metro Broward County,
  Metro Palm Beach County and Metropolitan Miami Dade. In southern
  Florida, Glades and Hendry. In southwest Florida, Coastal Collier
  County, Inland Collier County and Mainland Monroe.

* WHEN...Through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are
  possible.

  - Rainfall amounts of 2 to 9 inches with isolated amounts up to
    11 inches have fallen over South Florida since Tuesday
    morning. Additional rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches are
    still forecast to fall over South Florida through Friday
    evening. These additional rainfall amounts will be capable of
    producing flooding across South Florida.
