THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Isolated to scattered lightning storms are possible this
afternoon and evening, mainly near and east of Interstate 95, as
well as over the Atlantic waters. Storms today will be capable of
producing occasional lightning strikes, gusty winds to 40 mph,
and locally heavy downpours.

.RIP CURRENT AND SURF IMPACT...
A high risk for dangerous, life-threatening rip currents and
rough surf exist at all area beaches. Entering the surf is
strongly discouraged.

.WIND AND SEA IMPACT...
Small craft should exercise caution across the nearshore waters
into the afternoon for east winds 15 to 20 knots and choppy seas
of 4 to 6 feet. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the
offshore waters, expanding to the nearshore Atlantic waters this
afternoon. Expect winds of 20 to 25 knots and seas 5 to 8 feet.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.
A higher probability of showers and storms is forecast from mid
to late week as moisture increases ahead of an approaching area
of low pressure over the western Atlantic.

Breezy to gusty onshore flow will continue through mid to late
week. Winds may remain elevated during the nighttime, especially
along the coast.

Poor to hazardous boating conditions through mid to late week as
winds increase and seas build. Surf conditions will also be rough
with a moderate to high risk for numerous, strong, life-threatening
rip currents.

* At 316 PM EDT, showers were located along a line extending from
  near Playalinda Beach to Sebastian Inlet, moving west at 20 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher
           waves, lightning and heavy downpours. Make sure all on
           board are wearing life jackets. Return to safe harbor if
           possible.

* Locations impacted include...
  Port Saint John, Floridana Beach, Melbourne Beach, Bellwood, and
  Canaveral Groves.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek safe shelter, mariners can expect gusty winds and increasing

...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents and rough surf.

* WHERE...Coastal Volusia, Coastal Brevard, Coastal Indian River,
  Coastal Saint Lucie, and Coastal Martin Counties.

* WHEN...Through late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the
sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as jetties and
piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags and
signs.

Entering the water is strongly discouraged. If caught in a rip
current, relax and float. Don`t swim against the current. If able,
swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape,
face the shore and call or wave for help.
