Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected across portions of north and central Georgia today. A few thunderstorms this afternoon could become strong, capable of producing damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning, and locally heavy rain. Very hot conditions will be possible this afternoon in portions of east-central Georgia, where heat index values could rise into the upper 90s to low 100s. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday... Scattered thunderstorms are expected over much of the area each day from Saturday through next Thursday. Storms that develop will be capable of producing lightning, heavy rain, and gusty winds. Extreme heat will also be possible across much of the area Saturday through Monday. Heat index values in the low to mid 100s will are forecast in the in central Georgia and portions of north Georgia during those afternoons. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
