Hot weather will linger on Sunday, with heat index values expected to reach 97 and 102 degrees in the afternoon. Precautions should be taken to ensure adequate hydration and access to cooling. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon and evening hours on Sunday and Monday, with highest chances in far north Georgia.
