...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF LIBERTY, MCINTOSH AND
LONG COUNTIES...

At 615 PM EDT, National Weather Service doppler radar indicated
strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Cox to near
Darien, and moving north at 20 mph.

HAZARD...strong winds 45 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar Indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects.

Some locations in the path of these storms include...
Darien, Jones, Riceboro, Wolf Island, Harris Neck, Eulonia, Valona,
and Little Saint Simons Island.

* WHAT...Heat index values around 110 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
