west central Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska,
central South Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central
South Dakota, and southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Breezy northwest winds are again expected today, with gusts 35
mph up into the lower 40s expected. Isolated higher gusts are
possible, especially for areas along the Buffalo Ridge in SW MN
given their elevated elevation.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

No hazardous weather expected.

* IMPACTS...At 18.5 feet, the city park in Sioux Rapids is flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Friday afternoon to a crest of 18.1 feet Friday evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage early Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, city sewers in Spencer can begin to back
  up. Highway 18 between Spencer and Dickens can start flooding if
  flows on the tributary creeks are also very high.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 13.4 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:15 PM CDT Wednesday was 13.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.5
    feet just after midnight tonight.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
