This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northwest Iowa,
west central Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, and
southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Showers and thunderstorms remain expected to develop this evening
into the overnight hours. A few severe storms will be possible
with hail to the size of ping pong balls and wind gusts to 60 mph,
most likely from 7 PM until 11PM. The other concern will be heavy
rain with 1 to 2 inches of rain possible, locally as high as 3
inches. Isolated flash flooding is possible, along with minor
rises on local rivers and streams.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

An active pattern aloft will keep additional showers and
thunderstorms possible throughout the week.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Iowa, including the following areas, Buena
  Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Ida, O`Brien, Plymouth, Sioux and Woodbury,
  northeast Nebraska, including the following areas, Dakota and
  Dixon, and southeast South Dakota, including the following areas,
  Clay and Union.

* WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:00 AM CDT Monday was 18.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Saturday and continue falling to 15.9 feet Saturday morning.
    This forecast is highly dependent on how much rain falls over
    the next 24 hours with additional river rises possible if
    heavier rain falls than currently expected.
