...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Little Sioux River at Linn Grove.
* WHEN...Until early Tuesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, significant flooding of agricultural land
begins along this entire stretch of the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 20.6 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:00 PM CDT Thursday was 21.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Monday afternoon and continue falling to 17.1 feet
Tuesday evening.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

Flooding surrounding area creeks and rivers will continue. Strong to severe storms are possible during the late evening and overnight, mainly along and west of the James River. Main threats are ping pong ball sized hail and wind gusts to 70 mph. Locally heavy rain and a tornado are possible. Widespread heavy rain is not expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Flooding continues on many area rivers through the end of the week. Strong to severe storms are possible during the afternoon and early evening Friday, mainly east of I-29. Some uncertainty remains in Friday`s severe threat, but all modes of severe weather are possible as well as locally heavy rain. Widespread heavy rainfall is not expected. An active pattern early next week could lead to additional heavy rain and/or severe weather threat; however, confidence is very low at this time. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
