This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight

A Flood Watch for excessive rainfall is in effect for the area
into the early evening. Please visit weather.gov/dmx for more
details.

A few strong to severe thunderstorms may be possible this
afternoon and evening. Main threats would be for damaging winds
and locally heavy rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Additional storm chances return to the forecast by around the
middle of next week. Severe weather may be possible late Monday
with details being better defined in the coming days.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed this afternoon. Severe weather reports,
reports of rainfall and any flooding are appreciated.

* WHERE...The Cedar River at Cedar Falls, or from the West Fork
  Cedar River to the Cedar Falls-Waterloo city limits.

* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon to Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 94.9 feet, Water affects Fitkin Rd.
  At 95.4 feet, Water affects Waterloo Rd at Utility Parkway.
  At 95.9 feet, Water affects Lone Tree Rd...the 200 and 300 blocks
  of Lone Tree Rd and the 2000 block of Lincoln St east of 1821
  Lincoln St. Waterloo Rd is closed at Cedar Falls Utilities. Water
  affects trailers at 1002 Clair St as well as the south end of
  Timothy St.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 84.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 95.4 feet Tuesday morning.
    It will then fall below flood stage Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 89.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    95.4 feet on 09/23/2018.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The Cedar River at Janesville, or from Quarter Section Run
  to the West Fork Cedar River.

* WHEN...From Sunday evening to late Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water affects W 3rd St and may result in
  evacuation of a trailer court in Janesville. Water also affects
  much of the Janesville city park as well as nearby gravel roads.
  At 14.0 feet, Water threatens areas of Janesville south of 8th St.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 5.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tomorrow evening to a crest of 15.8 feet early Monday
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Tuesday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

  Cedar River.
  At 18.0 feet, The access road to wastewater treatment plant is
  closed.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 8.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Monday morning to a crest of 18.0 feet Tuesday morning.
    It will then fall below flood stage Thursday morning.
  - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
