Please see the latest Flood Statements and Flood Warnings for details. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY Thunderstorms are possible Friday and Friday night. Some storms could be strong to severe. There is a Slight Risk, or level 2 of 5, for severe storms generally across Benton, Iowa, Keokuk, Jefferson, Van Buren, and Scotland counties. The main threats are damaging winds and large hail. Heavy rainfall is also possible Friday into Saturday which could lead to some flooding issues. Thunderstorms are possible again Monday through Wednesday with additional rounds of heavy rainfall. It remains too early to determine the severe threat. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

SATURDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Cedar River at Vinton.
* WHEN...From Thursday morning to early Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Minor Flood Stage. Agricultural and low
land flooding is ongoing. Water affects much of 22nd Avenue Road
northwest of Vinton.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 13.5 feet and rising.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow morning to a crest of 15.7 feet early Friday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage Friday evening.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
