This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Showers and thunderstorms are expected today. Thunderstorms this
evening and into the overnight could be strong to severe. The
main threats from any strong to severe thunderstorm would be
heavy rain, large hail to the size of quarters and damaging winds
to 60 MPH. There is a low chance for flash flooding from these
storms overnight.

Area rivers are experiencing flooding. Please see the
latest Flood Statements and Flood Warnings for details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

Several chances for showers and storms will be seen next week, with
heavy rain possible. It is too soon to determine the severe risk.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed late this afternoon and into the
evening.

  Cedar River AT Palo Blairs Ferry Rd affecting Linn County.

  Cedar River near Conesville affecting Louisa and Muscatine
  Counties.

  Cedar River at Cedar Bluff affecting Muscatine, Cedar and Johnson
  Counties.

  Iowa River at Wapello affecting Louisa County.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Cedar River at Vinton affecting Benton County.

  Rock River near Joslin affecting Whiteside, Henry IL and Rock
  Island Counties.

  Iowa River at Oakville affecting Louisa County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Cedar River at Palo Blairs Ferry Rd.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 13.5 feet, Chain Bridge Road accessing the boat ramp
  is closed.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.6 feet and rising.
  - Recent Activity...The river continues to rise.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.5
    feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage
    late Saturday evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.5 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 14.2 feet, Water affects the lowest sections of C
  Street SW near Prairie Creek.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.9 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tonight to a crest of 14.2 feet early Saturday morning.
    It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
