Thunderstorms this evening and into the overnight could be strong to severe. The main threats from any strong to severe thunderstorm would be heavy rain, large hail to the size of quarters and damaging winds to 60 MPH. There is a low chance for flash flooding from these storms overnight. Area rivers are experiencing flooding. Please see the latest Flood Statements and Flood Warnings for details. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY Several chances for showers and storms will be seen next week, with heavy rain possible. * WHEN...From late Friday night to early Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Minor Flood Stage. Agricultural land is
flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.9 feet and rising.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Saturday morning to a crest of 16.9 feet Saturday
evening. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday evening.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
