This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest
Iowa...west central Iowa...east central Nebraska...northeast
Nebraska and southeast Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight and Sunday

Flood warnings have been issued for the Missouri River as recent
very heavy rains over southeast South Dakota and northwest Iowa
have produced significant flooding along the Missouri River
tributaries in these areas. Below Gavins Point Dam, rivers levels
will rise above flood stage during the upcoming week, with
moderate flood stage levels predicted from Blair to Rulo.
Additional flooding is occuring along Ponca Creek just south of
the South Dakota border.

There is a 5% chance or less for severe thunderstorms to develop
over southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa this evening. If
storms develop, they may produce isolated large hail or damaging
wind.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday night through Saturday

Hot, humid conditions will develop early next week with heat
indices approaching 100 to 110 on Monday and Tuesday.

Additional strong to severe thunderstorms are expected Tuesday
through Saturday, with additional heavy rainfall also possible.

increased in duration for the following rivers in Iowa...Nebraska...

  Missouri River At Omaha affecting Pottawattamie, Douglas and
  Sarpy Counties.

  Missouri River at Plattsmouth affecting Cass and Mills Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHERE...Missouri River at Omaha.

* WHEN...From Monday evening to Tuesday, July 02.

* IMPACTS...At 32.5 feet, Floodwaters are reaching areas near
  Council Bluffs, specifically near Interstate 29, miler marker 56.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 20.8 feet...or 6.2 feet
    below flood stage.
  - Bankfull stage is 27.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Monday evening to a crest of 33.9 feet Friday morning. It
    will then fall below flood stage Tuesday, July 02.
  - Flood stage is 27.0 feet.

  - At 9:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 20.2 feet...or 6.4 feet
    below flood stage.
  - Bankfull stage is 27.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Monday afternoon to a crest of 30.2 feet early Thursday
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday, June
    30.
  - Flood stage is 26.5 feet.
