This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight

Strong to severe storms are possible in portions of southern and
eastern Iowa in the afternoon to evening. Large, potentially
significant hail and damaging winds are the primary threats,
although a tornado or two cannot be ruled out.

Very warm temperatures are expected today with values in the 80s
to mid 90s and heat index values near 100 in southern Iowa.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Active weather is expected to continue this weekend and into
early next week with multiple chances for showers and storms.
More details regarding timing and severe potential will be better
known in the coming days.

Heat will continue to build with hot temperatures resuming Sunday
and lasting into next week.

Spotter activation may be needed today and possibly at times this
weekend.
