This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Through early this evening, strong northwest winds will be
gusting to 45 to 50 mph in portions of eastern Iowa, and to 35 to
40 mph elsewhere.

In addition, strong winds lofting dust into the air from freshly
tilled fields will create low visibility in open areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

Illinois...Iowa...Missouri...

  Mississippi River at New Boston LD17 affecting Mercer and Louisa
  Counties.

  Mississippi River at Gregory Landing affecting Clark and Hancock
  Counties.

  Mississippi River at Keithsburg affecting Louisa, Mercer, Des
  Moines and Henderson Counties.

  Mississippi River at Burlington affecting Henderson, Lee, Des
  Moines and Hancock Counties.

  Mississippi River at Gladstone LD18 affecting Henderson and Des
  Moines Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.2
    feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early
    Saturday morning.
