This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

A very warm day today may lead to isolated to scattered strong to
severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and especially tonight.
Large hail, damaging winds, and frequent lightning will be the
primary threats. The Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a
Marginal Risk, level 1 out of 5 for severe storms tonight,
generally northwest of Iowa City to Dubuque Iowa.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

Building heat and humidity will combine with near daily
thunderstorm chances in the region from Thursday through the
weekend. Some strong to severe storms will be possible from time
to time. Locally heavy rain will also be possible out of any
storm system. Thursday, the Storm Prediction Center is forecasting
an Enhanced Risk for severe weather, level 3 out of 5 for areas
south of Interstate 80, with a Slight Risk, level 2 out of 5,
north.

Early indications suggest that heat index readings may exceed 95
degrees at times Thursday, Sunday, and Monday.

Illinois...Iowa...

  Mississippi River at Burlington affecting Henderson, Hancock, Des
  Moines and Lee Counties.

  Mississippi River at Gladstone LD18 affecting Henderson and Des
  Moines Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The next statement will be issued by Thursday morning at 1100 AM CDT.

  - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow
    morning and continue falling to 9.8 feet early Sunday
    afternoon. It will rise back to flood stage Monday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

  - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage just after
    midnight tonight and continue falling to 14.8 feet Friday
    evening. The river will rise back to flood stage Monday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
