This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Hot and humid conditions return today, mainly for southeast Iowa,
northeast Missouri, and west-central Illinois. Heat index
readings will increase to between 95 to around 100 degrees this
afternoon and early evening.

Chances of thunderstorms will increase late tonight and continue
into the day Tuesday, mainly over northwest Illinois. Some storms
could be strong to severe, with locally strong winds and large
hail as the main threats.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

Hot and humid conditions continue Tuesday, with heat index
readings approaching 100 degrees for areas along and south of
Highway 30.

Chances of storms will continue through the day Tuesday, some of
which could become strong to severe. There is a Slight Risk, or
level 2 of 5, for severe storms across the entire outlook area,
with damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall that could
lead to flash flooding being the main threats.

Several area rivers will be experiencing flooding this week.

Spotter activation is possible late tonight and Tuesday.

  Mississippi River at Dubuque LD11 affecting Jo Daviess and
  Dubuque Counties.

  Mississippi River at Camanche affecting Rock Island, Scott,
  Whiteside and Clinton Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water affects homes in the Camanche Swan
  Slough area, the boat ramp, and 9th Street by Hazel Lake. Water
  affects Union Pacific Railroad maintenance buildings in Clinton.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 15.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Wednesday evening and continue rising to 19.4 feet Sunday,
    June 30. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

  - At 7:45 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 10.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 12.8 feet Tuesday morning.
    It will then fall below flood stage Thursday evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
