This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
    Level 3 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 75 mph.
    Level 3 of 5 Damaging Hail Risk...up to 2 inches in diameter.
    Level 1 of 5 Tornado Risk.
    Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds are possible near the
Wisconsin-Illinois stateline as well as areas west of I-39 toward
daybreak through mid morning.

Thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening. Some will
likely be strong to severe, capable of producing damaging hail
and winds along with the potential for localized flash flooding.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN DUPAGE AND CENTRAL COOK
COUNTIES THROUGH 830 AM CDT...

At 759 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Carol Stream, moving southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Wheaton, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Lombard, Bartlett, Carol Stream,
Hanover Park, Addison, Glendale Heights, Glen Ellyn, West Chicago,
Melrose Park, Maywood, Brookfield, Franklin Park, Hinsdale,
Westchester, La Grange, Burr Ridge, Oak Brook, Westmont, Roselle,
