Hydrologic Outlook

...Very heavy rain producing storms may lead to instances of
localized flooding this evening...

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move across much of
northern IL this evening. Heavy rainfall rates of up to two inches
per hour will be possible with these storms as they shift east
southeastward across northern Illinois through the evening. Rainfall
amounts of this magnitude may cause instances of localized flash
flooding, along with significant rises on area streams and rivers,
some of which could
reach or exceed flood stage, especially along portions of the Rock
river.

This outlook means that elevated water levels and potential impacts
are possible, but not yet certain. Persons with interests along area
streams and rivers should closely monitor the latest forecasts.

There are currently no updates scheduled for this outlook.
