Heat indicies of 95 to around 100 are expected. Tonight, scattered thunderstorms will push into the northwest half of the outlook area after midnight, northwest of a Freeport, Illinois to Memphis, Missouri line. Gusty winds and heavy rainfall are possible with any stronger storm. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY Wednesday, the Storm Prediction Center has a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for portions of eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois. Isolated strong gusty winds and lightning are the main threats. Periodic rounds of showers and thunderstorms are possible through the weekend.
