Area rivers are experiencing flooding. Please see the latest

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

Thunderstorms are possible Friday and Friday night. Some storms
could be strong to severe. There is a Slight Risk, or level 2 of
5, for severe storms across the western two thirds of the outlook
area for damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes. Heavy rainfall is
also possible Friday into Saturday which could lead to some
flooding issues.

Thunderstorms are possible again Monday into Tuesday. However, it
is too early to determine the severe threat.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday was 10.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 13.9 feet

  - At 8:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 15.1 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 PM CDT Tuesday was 15.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 18.5 feet
    Tuesday, July 02. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

increased in duration for the following rivers in Illinois...Iowa...

  Mississippi River at Keithsburg affecting Henderson, Mercer, Des
  Moines and Louisa Counties.

.Multiple heavy rain events upstream in Minnesota and Wisconsin have
led to widespread flooding on the Mississippi River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

  - At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tomorrow evening and continue rising to 17.2 feet
    Tuesday, July 02. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
