The Storm Prediction Center has a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe storms along and south of Highway 30. Some of these storms may produce damaging winds and hail, along with torrential rainfall. A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect for much of the area south of Highway 30 through tonight. In addition, hot and humid conditions will continue through early this evening with heat indicies of around 100. Area rivers are experiencing flooding. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
