Periods of thunderstorms will occur through tonight. These will be strong to severe at times, with damaging winds the main concern. However, some hail is also possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Scattered storms will linger into Wednesday, diminishing in the afternoon. Severe weather is not expected. Additional thunderstorms are expected Friday through Saturday. The severe weather potential is uncertain at this time. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... THROUGH 1130 PM CDT...
At 1036 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Sherman to near Pleasant Plains to
Literberry. Movement was south at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Springfield, Jacksonville, Chatham, Alexander, Auburn, Sherman,
Rochester, South Jacksonville, Pawnee, New Berlin, Waverly, Divernon,
Loami, Franklin, Murrayville, Woodson, Illinois State Fairgrounds,
Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport, Literberry, and Jerome.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 55 between mile markers 77 and 103.
Interstate 72 between mile markers 62 and 105.
