This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of eastern and
central Missouri as well as west central and southwest Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Thunderstorms are likely across much of the area tonight. A few of
the thunderstorms could be strong to severe over central and
northeast Missouri with large hail and damaging winds being the
primary threats. A brief tornado cannot be ruled out over northeast
Missouri.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

There is a chance for thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and evening,
mainly along and south of I-70. Isolated severe thunderstorms are
possible with large hail and damaging winds.

There are additional chances for thunderstorms across portions of
the area late Monday through Thursday.

  Mississippi River at Clarksville.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Winfield.

* WHEN...From late Saturday night until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 28.3 feet, Near this height, Lakeview Drive becomes
  impassable and Kampville Road begins flooding in northern St.
  Charles County.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 24.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Sunday morning and continue rising to 28.1 feet
    Wednesday evening. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

    Wednesday evening. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
