A lack of cooling overnight will increase impacts on the body as well for those lacking sufficient means of cooling. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heat indices into the mid to upper 90s are possible next weekend beyond the time of the watch. The prolonged nature of the event may magnify impacts as we move into the latter portions of the week. In addition, widely scattered showers and storms Monday and Tuesday could limit the heat impacts in some areas. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this situation. Be prepared to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air- conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. && $$
