This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Indiana
and central Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Hot and humid conditions will persist into the weekend with possible
peak heat indices near or slightly above 100 degrees Friday through
Sunday.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible Sunday afternoon and evening.
The strongest storms could produce locally gusty winds, brief heavy
rainfall, and lightning.

...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT THROUGH MIDNIGHT EDT FRIDAY NIGHT...

The officials at the Indiana Department of Environmental Management
have called for an Ozone action day on Thursday June 20th for the
following counties...THROUGH MIDNIGHT EDT FRIDAY NIGHT.

Harrison
Washington
Scott
Jefferson

Here are some recommended actions that the public can take to reduce
ozone forming emissions:

* Walk, bike, carpool or use public transportation.
* Avoid using the drive-through and combine errands into one trip.
* Avoid refueling your vehicle or using gasoline-powered lawn
  equipment until after 7 PM.
* Turn off your engine when idling for more than 30 seconds.
* Conserve energy by turning off lights or setting the air
  conditioner to 75 degrees or above.
