This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

An isolated or scattered thunderstorm could impact parts of the
area today, with the focus of most thunderstorm activity expected
to be primarily north of Interstate 80. There is a very small
chance for a strong storm across our extreme north, primarily
north of Highway 92, late this afternoon or evening. If a strong
storm does develop, small hail and wind gusts to 50 MPH will be
the main hazards.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Periodic chances for thunderstorms exist across at least portions
of the local area Friday and Saturday, then again Monday night
through Wednesday night. Widespread severe weather is not
anticipated at this time, although a strong storm north of Highway
92 will be possible Friday night.

Temperatures will climb back well above normal early next week,
with widespread heat index values over 100 degrees currently in
the forecast for both Monday and Tuesday afternoons.
