This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

There is a chance for thunderstorms through early tonight, mainly
along and east of a Emporia to Wellington line. A few of the storms
could be strong to marginally severe, capable of wind gusts up to
65 mph and dime to quarter sized hail and brief very heavy rain.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Heat indices around 100 to 103 degrees will affect much of the area
on Sunday afternoon. The most intense heat is expected during the
afternoon hours on Monday and Tuesday, ranging from 105 to 110
degrees.

Periodic chances for thunderstorms will return to much of the area
from Tuesday afternoon through Friday. A few strong storms will be
possible.
