This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms will continue through sunrise across
portions of central Kansas and the Flint Hills. Heavy rainfall and
occasional lightning are the primary concerns.

Heat index values up to 110 degrees are expected across southern
Kansas this afternoon. Refer to the latest Heat Advisory for
additional detail.

A few thunderstorms are possible along the Oklahoma border this
afternoon. Severe weather is not expected, although heavy rainfall
is possible with any storm.

Additional showers and storms are expected tonight, mainly across
portions of central and south central Kansas. Again, heavy rainfall
is the primary concern.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Hot and at times humid conditions return for Monday and Tuesday,
with afternoon through early evening heat indices exceeding 105
degrees.

Periodic thunderstorm chances return late Tuesday and persist
through late next week. A handful of strong to severe storms are
possible throughout this time period, along with areas of heavy
rainfall.
