The combination of hot temperatures in the low to mid 90s and high relative humidity will lead to peak indices around 100 degrees along and west of I-65 this afternoon. A few spots in southwest Indiana and west central KY could approach brief heat indices near 105 degrees. Late afternoon and early evening storms may bring some relief in spots. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
