...Max Heat Indices Peaking Around 100 Degrees This Afternoon...

The combination of hot temperatures in the low to mid 90s and high
relative humidity will lead to peak indices around 100 degrees
along and west of I-65 this afternoon. A few spots in southwest
Indiana and west central KY could approach brief heat indices near
105 degrees. Late afternoon and early evening storms may bring
some relief in spots.

Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink
plenty of fluids, wear light and loose fitting clothing, stay in
an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on
relatives and neighbors.
