Scattered storm development is expected this afternoon and early this evening, a few of which of which could be strong to severe. Damaging wind gusts and torrential rainfall will be the most likely threats in the strongest storms. The heat index this afternoon may top out around 100 degrees in areas that do not see rainfall, especially south of the Ohio River and west of Interstate 65. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. Heat indices Tuesday afternoon could exceed 100 degrees, especially west of the I-65 corridor. Scattered storms are expected Wednesday, with some strong storms possible. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed. GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY: Storms this afternoon and evening will move from west to east around 25 to 30 mph.
