This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Indiana
and central Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hot and humid conditions will result in peak heat index values of 100
degrees or so this afternoon and early evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Hot and humid conditions will persist into the weekend with possible
peak heat indices near or slightly above 100 degrees on Saturday.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible Sunday. The strongest storms
could produce locally gusty winds, brief heavy rainfall, and
lightning. More showers and storms will be possible again by midweek.

...Increasingly Hot and Humid Conditions...

The combination of near-record high temperatures and ongoing
humidity will result in peak heat index values around 100 degrees
this afternoon and early evening across southern Indiana and
central Kentucky. It is recommended to drink plenty of water, stay
cool during the hottest part of the day, and limit sun exposure.
Special attention should be given to those most vulnerable to the
heat, like children and the elderly.
