Hot and humid conditions will result in peak heat index values of 100 degrees or so this afternoon and early evening. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Hot and humid conditions will persist into the weekend with possible peak heat indices near or slightly above 100 degrees on Saturday. Scattered thunderstorms are possible Sunday.
