The combination of humidity and hot temperatures will result in heat indices peaking near 100 degrees at a few locations into early evening. There is a chance of thunderstorms into early evening a few of which could become strong with gusty winds as the main threat. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Thunderstorms are possible across eastern Kentucky Sunday through Monday. The combination of humidity and hot temperatures will result in heat indices peaking near 100 degrees at some locations during the afternoon hours, especially Friday and Saturday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... SOUTHWESTERN BREATHITT AND SOUTHEASTERN LEE COUNTIES THROUGH 400 PM EDT... At 332 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Dalesburg, or 12 miles southeast of Booneville, moving northwest at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Booneville, Buckhorn, Turin, Southfork, Cowcreek, Grass, Chestnut Gap, Copebranch, Beech, Scoville, Lerose, Saul, Tallega, Morris Fork, Levi, Valjean, Crockettsville, Arnett, Lower Buffalo, and Conkling.
