A Heat Advisory remains in effect for the entire Four State Region. High humidity, combined with afternoon temperatures ranging from the mid 90s to near 100 degrees, will result in heat index values between 105 to 109 degrees. In addition to the heat, isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon into the early evening hours, mainly across portions of Northern Louisiana, Southwest Arkansas and extreme East Texas. These storms will have the capability of producing strong wind gusts until they dissipate later this evening. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. The Heat Advisory will remain in effect until Tuesday evening, as very little change is expected in anticipated heat index values. This Heat Advisory could likely be extended, as heat index values are expected to remain over 105 degrees for most of the week.
